This page explains every cookie trilodocs.com can place on your device, what it is for, how long it lasts, and how to change your mind at any time.
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site recognise your device on a later page or a later visit. Similar technologies - local storage, pixels and tracking scripts - do much the same job, and everything in this policy applies to them too.
We group cookies into three categories. Strictly necessary cookies are set because the site cannot work without them. Analytics and marketing cookies are only ever set after you have actively agreed to them. Nothing in those two categories loads before you choose.
These are required for the site to function and to honour your privacy choice. Under UK PECR they do not require consent, and they cannot be switched off.

Ironically, declining cookies requires a cookie - this one. Without it we would have no way to remember that you said no.
We do not currently operate any analytics cookies on this website. The analytics toggle in our preference centre is present so that we can introduce a privacy-respecting analytics tool later without silently switching it on for people who have already refused.
If that changes, this table will be updated and the consent banner will reappear so you can make a fresh choice.
We use HubSpot for our contact and CRM workflow. The HubSpot tracking script is blocked until you accept marketing cookies. If you accept, it sets the following:

If you later withdraw marketing consent, we delete these cookies from your browser where technically possible and stop loading the script on subsequent pages.

The same link sits in the footer of every page. We will also ask you again automatically after 180 days, or sooner if we add a new cookie or vendor.
Independently of our banner, your browser can block or delete cookies for any site. Be aware that blocking all cookies will break parts of many websites, including our ability to remember that you declined.
